Privacy policy.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Anchor Productions Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") provides marine photography and videography services from the Gold Coast, Queensland. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you contact us through our website, by email or by phone, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, business details, and any information you include in your message (such as details about a vessel or project).

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and how you arrived at our site, using cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes and services

  • To manage bookings, invoices and our business relationship with you

  • To improve our website and services

  • To measure and improve our advertising

  • To send you marketing emails, but only where you have opted in or where the law otherwise permits it (see below)

Email marketing

If you tick the marketing box on our contact form, or otherwise agree, we may send you occasional emails about our services, work and offers. We may also contact existing clients and industry contacts about services relevant to them where the law allows. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or emailing us. We will action unsubscribe requests within 5 business days.

Meta Pixel, cookies and advertising

Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies to record actions on our website, such as page visits and enquiry form submissions, so we can measure our ads and show relevant ads to people who may be interested in our services. When you submit our contact form, limited contact details (such as email, phone number and name) may be converted into a scrambled, one-way coded form ("hashed") before being shared with Meta to help match the enquiry to our ads. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). You can control ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which may also use cookies to operate the site and provide analytics.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business (such as our website host, email and accounting providers, and Meta for advertising measurement), or where required by law. Some of these providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
